The latest news from NASA is that seeds that have flown in space and those that were not in space for up to a year are almost ready to mail out to schools around the world. The seeds should arrive at our school before December 25. The education teams are shooting for around Thanksgiving, but realistically they think Christmas is more likely.
In addition, NASA will provide an activity that allows classrooms to share pictures (2 per group) of their growth chambers, describing student experiments…..and a place where classrooms can discuss their findings!
This will be featured by NASA, as schools are mapped on “Google Maps” --it will be nice to participate in this, so student work can be seen by others across the country. This will be a neat way for students’ to communicate and participate in a global event.
